EDWARDSVILLE – A St. Louis man was charged with auto theft Thursday by the Madison County State's Attorney's Office.Michael D. Saal, 38, of St. Louis, was charged Dec. 29 with aggravated offenses relating to motor vehicles, a Class 1 felony, and theft over $500, a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Granite City Police Department. According to court documents, on Dec. 17 Saal allegedly had at least three stolen vehicles, including a 2002 Ford F250, a 2000 Ford F250 and a 2001 Ford F350.
